We get several emails from people over the course of the pre-season asking what Nascar Pools Online offers and if we can support the setup of their Nascar pools.\u00a0 Here’s a general outline of what we currently offer:<\/p>\n
1. Season Long – Online<\/strong><\/p>\n Every entry selects their team of drivers or cars, and that is the team for the duration of the season (although trades are an option). \u00a0The participants can log on and make their own selections to save the pool manager from having to send out pick sheets and submit all of the entries themselves. \u00a0With the new option for custom group and salary creation, you may be able to move your pool from Offline to Online this season.<\/p>\n 2. Season Long – Offline<\/strong><\/p>\n Every entry selects their team of drivers or cars, and that is the team for the duration of the season (although trades are an option). \u00a0The participants give the pool manager their completed pick sheets and he or she submits all of the entries. \u00a0Any trades must be processed by the pool manager as well.<\/p>\n 3. Weekly Pick’em<\/strong><\/p>\n Each entrant may change their entire roster of drivers or cars for each race. \u00a0There is no offline option for Weekly Pick’em pools, but pool managers can manage picks for other entries if necessary.<\/p>\n Each of the different pool types can set up their selections 1 of 3 ways:<\/p>\n 1. Salary Cap<\/strong><\/p>\n Each team is given $1000 to pick their drivers or cars for the season (or race if a Pick’em pool).\u00a0 You can select any drivers as long as you keep your total salary for your entry at or under $1000. \u00a0You may use the default salaries we set up (for driver scoring), or create your own.<\/p>\n 2. Groups<\/strong><\/p>\n Before this year, this type was limited to 8 groups for both car and driver scoring, as well as 1 car or driver selected per group. \u00a0We’ve changed that this year, to use any number of groups, and the ability to select multiple picks from any group, so the options are pretty unlimited. \u00a0We have set up some default groups, which have 7 groups of 5 cars or drivers each, and entrants select 1 from each.<\/p>\n 3.
